the town of fairplay has proposals out for a skater design/build team to make their concrete park with pool coping, true vert and challenging obstacles. thank you fairplay for being educated on how to get a great skatepark. hit it up this fall.

rick and buddy have a new video out called random shorts. of course theres lotsa great pool skating and crazy music, but the most interesting thing about this video is all the wacky spots theyve hit over the years. its a wild ride through some crazy obstacles with ripping skaters.


rick and buddy are barley visable on this epic 4 mile downhill in the rockies.

ive seen some articles here and there about the carbondale run, and they lack some interesting points. for instance, tim johnson from fl was the ripper of the event, killing it saturday evening. tony truillio spit a hot dog in a fans face and then had to run and involve police in order to not get beat up by the 19 year old. the beer tent was the place to be and aaron drank the most beers. the cat fight in the mud was good. the skating in the rain was insane. rolling in off the top of the tube was a grand spectacle. both the town of carbondale and the guys at thrasher think they got ripped off/ conned from one another.

the carbondale run was like a more public version of brewce martins infamous skatopia bowl bashes. people came from all over and had a blast despite the rain and police presence. if you weren't there, you missed out, but if you've never been to a skatopia party, then you're really missing out.

The san rafael bowl is done! but the rest of the park is still under way. I know that I was told that this bowl has pool coping, but of course...NO, but it has similar coping to Denver... And it is big, 1.5 of vert with 8.5, 6 shallow, 10 deep, and looks perfect.

always has been and will probably always be my favorite skatepark builders. theyre blowing it up in idaho. kuna, outside boise, has killer snakerun. so much fun, a must hit if your near hailey. speaking of hailey, thats reds home park for the next 3 months as he builds a park 12 miles north in ketchum. over j4 i saw him trying to air to grind the handrail on top of the fullpipe, a feat easily as nuts as the loop.....
and i hear these guys are building a 40,000 square foot park in arkansas!

these guys are all over the place lately (and so am i). the new encinites y crete is good, almost too good. now all the vert jocks can skate a huge kidney pool. the clover there is fun also. and glendale, lets just say that park is ridiculously good. they teamed up with ben schroeder and made the best use of space ive ever seen at a skatepark. lotsa pool coping and oververt there! i also hit up layton near salt lake, and that park is loads of fun. the clover is epic, containing a killer oververt pocket as well as death box. the flo course is addicting. so what the fuck happened in fairmont (salt lake city)? the city wont open the park because they wont pass it off as a skatepark because the locals see the crap they got. apparently site design designed the park and wanted to much to build it. so the city got a bunch of amateurs to build it and they fucked it up big time. terrible concrete work. so untill its jacked and redone the police will continue fining kids for skating in the park. no ones winning here.....

i dont know the full story of anything, but alot of trouble has been going down at the fdr skatepark lately, especially over july 4th when the big party got pretty out of hand and raided by police. apparently it might get dozed....

the hell crew is holding an invitation only contest in carbondale. everyone else who wants a piece of the action will have to enter a preliminary contest and fight for the one spot for the big jam. its the boost mobile all over again, the cool way to do contests? danny way and bob burnquist are both rumored to be coming... thats pretty hellish

Have you heard of my plans for a Burnside Blowout? I'm going to put $1000 of my money into a Donald style "nontest,"meaning, a balls out snake session. He or she who earns the loudest applause gets the prize. Shooting for July. Would love to have some of the OG like yourself there.

guess thrashers havin another king of the road contest for companies that can get a team and the entry fee. i still say for this to be a real road trip contest anyone should be able to enter, fuck paying thrasher to tell you you had a rippin time. the arvada army will be in carbondale showing how the working class skates.
