the colorado coalition for public skateparks (ccps) came through on there mission to provide free and quality parks throughout colorado. they took a basic slab park in a poverty stricken town and turned it into world class skate pool and more. funding raised through tony hawk, custom pool tiles, a skateboard contest, continuum skate shop, a skate rock BBQ and more assured the project had interest and funds. team pain donated materials and expertise at every stage of the project. the park continues to evolve as volunteers find time to come out and build new obstacles for their enjoyment as well as the local kids. with no constraints from the city, and locals eager to skate whatever is there, the park has become a favorite for denver skaters looking for a challenge. not on the way to anything but kansas, its worth it from anywhere. thanks to tim gorgon for the documentation.
