kuhns

i know steve kuhn from raleigh where he use to kill the vert ramp. now he lives out west and does the pool scene instead (good choice). below is an email from steve, which does a hell of alot better describing the pool situation than any of my captions.

So saturday it finally happend, pool mission with screaming lord salba himself. We found and drained a new pool. It was complete comedy. A bunch of guys were putting a new roof on this house and we just roll up with buckets, brooms, rakes, etc, and comence to spend about 2 1/2 hrs cleaning out this right hand blue heaven kidney. We brake for lunch, pick up some beers for the roofers, come back and sweep the pool out one last time and then get the sk8 gear. About 5 mins into it one of the workers comes over and says "shit, I thought you guys were just the pool cleaners." I say hell, we are. Any how they drank a bunch of beers and were fully cool about sk8ing. Then lord salba takes us to one of the most buttery pools out there, the jaquzi(?) wall pool. It was another blue heaven capsule. The deep end was so perfect, 9 ft deep good death box perfect coping, unreal shallow end pocket. Speed was abundant. Salba had so many lines it was sick. My freind scott ruled it with stale fish tail slides crushing the drain on his way back in. Then even lord salba gave me some props we I nolly tail grabed over the death box onto the jaquzi wall. By the days end I could hardly walk, salba half busted my board and then stole my wrench and we departed with plans of the infamous Gonzalas pool (rember the old bones brigade vids with lance doing the invert falling on the deck)next weekend. You guys have to come out to get in on some of this. I've never had more fun in my life.
